ACT for ASD Series with Courtney Tarbox, BCBA, and Guests!

Courtney Tarbox, BCBA, Jonathan Tarbox, BCBA-D, Taira Bermudez, BCBA, & Erin Silverman, BCBA

Connections Behavior Planning and Intervention is excited to welcome Courtney Tarbox, BCBA, and guests for a brief webinar series for Behavior Analysts! This series will focus on the topic of ACT for clients with Autism Spectrum Disorders. The content will be presented in three sessions, a guest presenter at each session. See detailed descriptions of each session below.

Abstract

Following the information shared in the publication, Taking ACTion: 18 Simple Strategies for Supporting Children with Autism during the COVID-19 Pandemic, Lead Author Courtney Tarbox breaks down the content in three brief installments, joined by one additional author per session. This series includes an introduction to ACT as applied in Behavior Analysis, plus deeper digs into the six ‘ACT processes’ (acceptance, defusion, present-moment awareness, self-as-context, values and committed action). A selection of specific interventions will be discussed as well, with accompanying materials (found attached to the original article).
