Connections Behavior Planning and Intervention welcomes Tim McLauchlan, Peer-Reviewed ACT Trainer, for a fun and engaging FREE introduction to Relational Frame Theory!
This workshop will hold your hand as you step off your old skateboard (using classic A-B-C’s to understand behaviour) and onto your newly developed Hoverboard (using Relational Frame Theory (RFT) to understand human behaviour, including human language and cognition).
The focus will be on the stuff clinicians want to know about when working with clients. We will highlight some recent developments in RFT (HDML/ROE-m). Ultimately, this workshop aims to serve as a fun and easy introduction to RFT as presented in Harte, C. & Barnes-Holmes, D. (2021).
Harte, C. & Barnes-Holmes, D. (2021). A primer on relational frame theory (RFT). In M.P. Twohig, M.E. Levin, & J.M. Peterson (Eds.), The Oxford Handbook of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy. Oxford University Press.
- Describe Relational Frame Theory (RFT) and the process of Relating, Orienting, and Evoking (ROE)
- Describe applications of RFT (ROE) when conducting a functional analysis in clinical work
