Connections Behavior Planning and Intervention welcomes Tony Chambers, BCBA, and Clint Evans, BCBA, Nutritional Behavior Specialists at BehaviorChef and hosts of the BehaviorChef Podcast, to discuss their application of Applied Behavior Analysis in health and fitness.

About the Presenters

Clint Evans and Tony Chambers are BCBAs and certified Precision Nutrition  coaches who likes to think outside the box. Through their own journeys with wellness and nutrition they created Behavior Chef as a place where nutrition meets behavior.  Behavior Chef also has a social media presence dedicated to disseminating ABA concepts along with a weekly Podcast and a nutrition coaching company. Their hope is to inspire others to find the joy in the wellness journey.

Abstract

Many practitioners are interested to learn how the principles and core applications of ABA expand beyond the traditional role. Health and Fitness has become a popular area of expansion and many of the core principles and processes of ABA translate very well. This course is designed to show you how Team Behavior Chef uses the principles of ABA and the science of nutrition to help others reframe their relationship to health and wellness. Things like weight loss, exercise, Sleeping more and finding more leisure time all have behavioral roots and all impact your overall health. Join us to expand your horizons on the core principles of ABA and how they apply to health and wellness. Who knows, you might even learn something about your own health and wellness!

Learning Objectives

  1. Attendees will be able to identify the 7 dimensions of ABA applied to personal nutrition and wellness.
  2. Attendees will learn how to apply the behavioral framework to their own nutritional behavior.
  3. Attendees will explore the role that reinforcement and environmental arrangement play in long-term success.
  4. Attendees will discuss the role of self-monitoring and data collection in the pursuit of long-term success.

Number of CEU’s available: 2.0 BACB Learning CEU’s
