Connections Behavior Planning and Intervention is excited to welcome Andrew Arellano, BCBA, for a webinar for Behavior Analysts! This event will address Behavior Analyst utilization of the ACT Matrix, with specific application to parent-training needs.

Abstract

During this presentation the presenter will introduce the ACT Matrix. Specifically, He will described the Matrix in depth and how it connects to traditional ABA framework. He will also discuss how this tool is flexible and can be used in a variety of contexts, with an emphasis on parent training.  Participants will split into smaller groups and be asked to facilitate a loop around the Matrix. All participants should obtain an in depth knowledge and familiarity with the Matrix so that they may use this tool in practice.

About the Presenter

Andrew Arellano, BCBA has been working in the field of ABA for approximately 13 years. Specifically working with individuals diagnosed with developmental disabilities and their families.  He has worked with kids from the ages 2 to 25 years old. He also has experience with applying ABA to individuals in schools, classroom wide and program wide for local transition program. He has training in Organizational Behavior Management, Positive Behavioral Support, Precision teaching, Family System Theory and ACT. He has a passion for sharing his perspective of the science of human behavior to those around him. Over the last 5 years, he has really jumped into ACT and has used the ACT Matrix as a part of parent training.
