with Kyle Ditzian, BCBA, and Connections Behavior Planning and Intervention

Course Abstract

This 3 hour web-based event is designed for ABA practitioners interested in learning about Organizational Behavior Management and how it relates to the field and foundations of ABA. Attendees will learn about these topics, become familiar with a specific useful OBM tool (the Performance Diagnostics Checklist for Human Services), and learn about some basic do’s and don’ts with regard to data collection and feedback to performers. This event will be accessible to BCBA’s with little or no experience in OBM.

Learning Objectives

  1. Participants will distinguish between ABA and OBM as it pertains to scope of practice, population and common interventions.
  2. Participants will describe best practices for conducting a PDC-HS and analyzing the data to develop interventions that address workplace performance problems.
  3. Participants will articulate benefits and drawbacks of various data collection strategies within OBM.
  4. Participants will describe best practices of feedback delivery with regards to frequency, source, content and modality.
